Why SlabCollar

Four Seals, One Part

A soft top lip, two annular ribs, and an inner pipe flange form four independent compression seals — three against the concrete, one on the pipe — with no sealant, no adhesive, and no cure time.

Two Install Modes

Seats in a ≈127 mm (5.0″) cored hole, or clamps a thin plastic or wood lid from 1/8″ to 1/2″ thick. One SKU covers both methods.

Inspectable & Removable

Compression fit means the seal is visible, testable, and the pipe can be pulled and re-seated for service — no destructive tear-out.

Engineered EPDM

50A-durometer EPDM rated −55 °C to +125 °C, with tested ozone resistance — the classic long-term failure mode for rubber seals below grade.

Two Ways to Install

Direct slab penetration

Concrete Core

Press SlabCollar into a ≈127 mm (5.0″) core-drilled hole. The two annular ribs seal the bore, the top lip seals the slab surface, and the inner flange seals the pipe — four seal lines with no sealant.

  1. 01Core-drill a ≈127 mm (5.0″) hole through the slab.
  2. 02Insert SlabCollar until the top lip sits flat on the concrete surface.
  3. 03Pass the 4″ Sch 40 pipe through the boot from below or above.
  4. 04Confirm the top lip, ribs, and pipe flange are seated — installation is complete.

Plastic or wood cover plate

Thin Lid (Panel)

SlabCollar clamps a thin panel lid (plastic or plywood, 1/8″–1/2″ thick) with the shoulder sealing the underside and the top lip sealing above. The annular ribs hang free below the panel; sealing is handled by the lip/shoulder pair and the inner pipe flange.

  1. 01Cut or drill a hole in the lid sized to accept the boot body.
  2. 02Insert SlabCollar through the lid from the top side.
  3. 03The shoulder captures and seals the underside of the lid; the top lip seals above.
  4. 04Pass the pipe through and confirm inner-flange engagement.
